Celebrate the 4th on the River!
The 2025 Star-Spangled Celebration on the River is a highlight in our area, having evolved into a major event since its inception in 2018. Held at Petal River Park and Hattiesburg’s Chain Park, this celebration draws an estimated average crowd of 4000 people to the Petal River Park, eager to join in the festivities.
Food Vendors
Food trucks and vendors will be on site to provide a wide variety of food and beverages for the event.
Activities
From inflatables to face painting, the Star Spangled Celebration will have plenty of activities for all ages.
Event Schedule
The Petal River Park will be closed 6am-4pm to prepare for the event. Guests will be able to enter the park at 4pm. Click here for the parking and shuttle map. Fireworks will begin at 9pm.

Application deadline is June 12, 2025.
